Guide for Parents and Guardians
Last updated: 24/06/2026What is AmonOT?
AmonOT is an online RPG (MMORPG) that brings together players from all over the world in a medieval fantasy setting, to face monsters, complete quests, and interact with other players.
There is a virtual economy where players acquire items and currency and develop characters; some features allow real-money purchases.
Age Rating and Restrictions
The AmonOT age requirements are:
- Minimum age of 13 — below that, creating an account or playing is not allowed.
- Adult-only features (18+): the roulette and other adult-content areas are only available from 18 years of age.
- Time limit: users under 18 play up to 6 hours per day, with a mandatory 2-hour break afterward.
Adult Content (18+)
The following features are restricted to adults:
- Roulette: a random reward where the player always gets an item, with only the chance of each prize varying. It is not gambling (there is no possibility of total loss), but it involves chance and calls for adult judgment.
- Some game areas may contain adult themes or language.
- Users under 18 are blocked from these areas.
How the Game Works
All players should keep in mind that:
- Purchases: virtual currency can be bought with real money to use in the store.
- Chat without prior moderation: real-time conversation may contain language and themes that deserve guardians' attention.
- Fantasy violence: there is combat against monsters and other players.
Legal Basis
Our age policy follows Brazilian legislation:
- Law 15,211/2025 (Felca Law): protection of children and adolescents in digital environments.
- Law 8,069/1990 (ECA): Statute of the Child and Adolescent.
- Law 14,790/2023: regulation of betting and games.
- Law 13,709/2018 (LGPD): data protection.
Protection Measures
Among the measures adopted by AmonOT are:
- Requesting the date of birth at registration.
- The option to request documents to confirm age.
- Immediate termination of identified accounts of children under 13.
- Blocking 18+ areas for users under 18.
- Play-time limits for users under 18 (up to 6 hours, with a 2-hour break).
- Age-rating notices on the website and in the game.
- Daily acceptance of the terms to enter adult-content areas.
How Guardians Can Help
As a guardian, you can strengthen protection:
- Enable parental controls on devices, browsers, and routers.
- Keep track of the websites and apps your children use.
- Talk about the restrictions and explain why certain content is for adults only.
- Review card statements to spot unauthorized purchases.
- Watch the play time and encourage balanced habits.
